Elijah Technologies President Andy Reisman will be speaking on April 19, 2006 at the Joint Meeting of AIIM (the Enterprise Content Management Association) and ARMA (the Association for Information Management Professionals) on the topic "Forensic Recovery of Local Computer Data: Challenges and Opportunities." The presentation will discuss the fact that although document management and preservation efforts largely focus on data stored and archived at the enterprise level, computer users often intentionally create and archive data in a varieity of other storage locations. Additionally, unbeknownst to most users computers locally are archiving various types of content that later can be recovered by a skilled forensic examiner in the context of internal investigations, litigation, or otherwise. The presentation will alert attendees to the challenges and opportunities associated with the forensic recovery of data at the individual user level as well as providing guidance regarding document preservation issues relating to such data. The AIIM/ARMA meeting will take place at the East Bank Club located at 500 N. Kingsbury Street in Chicago, with registration beginning at 10:00 a.m.
