Founded in 2003 from a 700 square foot downtown Chicago loft, Elijah has grown to become one of the premier digital forensics providers in the United States. Elijah is led by its founder and CEO, Andrew Reisman, a former AmLaw 100 litigation partner who has testified as an expert in computer forensics, electronic discovery and data security in federal and state courts throughout the country. Named after his eldest child, Andrew often remarks that he named the company to remind him why to go to work in the morning and why to come home in the evening.
Recognized as 2016’s Legal Technology Gamechanger of the Year by the ACQ Global Awards, Andrew has over 20,000 hours of digital forensics expertise and is a leading authority in the area. Drawing upon his extensive computing, investigative and legal backgrounds, Andrew is uniquely qualified to bridge the communication gaps that so frequently arise between counsel, management, IT personnel and finders of fact.
Elijah is further led by its President, Rick Weber, a former federal prosecutor for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Rick was one of the earliest innovators in the electronic discovery industry – he co-founded Advocate Solutions, the developer of the Discovery Cracker software that helped pioneer the eDiscovery industry.
Rick is frequently invited to speak as an expert in the field of eDiscovery and Litigation Data Management at conferences and CLE seminars sponsored by corporations, law firms, the American Bar Association, and state bar associations.
Together, and with a dedicated team of highly trained and skilled computer forensic experts, Elijah has become one of the leading providers of digital forensic expert services to companies and law firms nationwide, expanding well beyond its original Chicago base but staying true to Midwest values rooted in hard work, dedication and client service.
Elijah owes its existence to the legal community, and shares the goal of that community to help those most in need of legal services but are least able to afford them. We are proud to support our clients’ pro bono efforts by similarly providing our services on a pro bono basis for appropriate matters. Elijah not only strives to do good work, but also simply to do good.
For Elijah, “Better Evidence, Clearly” is as much a business model as a motto. Elijah performs digital forensic collections and investigations in a manner that best provides our clients with the evidence needed for their important matters, while communicating highly technical concepts in an easily understandable manner. “Better Evidence, Clearly” results in clearly better evidence! That focus, combined with providing our clients with the highest levels of judgment, responsiveness, and value, has helped Elijah build enduring client relationships. We thank our clients for their business and referrals, and welcome the opportunity to learn more about your challenges.
